Sustainability

It's extremely important to me that I do as much as possible to commit to sustainable ethics and community enrichment. I've worked hard to curate a collection of sustainable bespoke products & materials. I typically only work with other small business to source materials. Including local fiber artists in Colorado or fiber companies like Malabrigo, who understand the importance of leaving our communities better than before.

  • Our fibers are always mulesing free and ethically harvested with animal wellfare a priority.
  • Our engraved tags are either wood, cork, or in rare cases, faux leather.
  • Our faux fur poms are removable & handmade
  • Our packaging is either compostable, recycled, re-usable &/or up-cycled whenever possible, without sacrificing quality or package safety.
  • We only recommend biodegradable, gentle, rinse-free wool washes (such as Soak Wool Wash).

More on Malabrigo

Malabrigo's sustainable ethos, support for small yarn shops, unique hand-dyed color-ways, and ultra soft textures are among the many reasons this company has a cult like following.  Malabrigo is perfect for those who are looking to treat themselves or their loved ones to heirloom quality knits.

Malabrigo is a family owned and operated company in Uruguay and Peru. Malabrigo specializes in ultra lux, hand dyed, extraordinary soft fibers. If you have a larger project in mind, I recommend ordering enough yarn for your entire project as colors can slightly vary since each piece is hand dyed.  Malabrigo meets or exceeds Oeko-Tex standards and strives to  conservatively use water & uses as little chemicals as possible during the dye process.

100% of Malabrigo's wool comes from small family farms with free ranging sheep and is absolutely mulesling free. Malabrigo also works to employ those who have fewer opportunities in their local communities, including women.
